要旨：

本研究では、最近の情報技術の発展によって出現した新たな社会である仮想的な情報空間社会における社会的ジレンマ問題に取り組む。情報空間社会を構築する場合、システム設計の段階から社会的ジレンマを解消するメカニズムを取り込む必要がある。そこで、社会的ジレンマの解決を検討するため、情報空間社会のモデル化を行う。このモデルによりジレンマ問題を操作的に扱うことが可能となる。シミュレーションをおこなった結果、社会の規模と複雑性の要因によって、社会的ジレンマが解消される可能性を示すことができた。また、情報空間は、環境操作が可能であるという特徴があげられるので、個人の意思決定基準を追求するよりも容易に、環境操作により、社会的ジレンマを解消できる可能性があることを示した。さらに、エージェントの性質の差による社会の振る舞いの違いに関する考察も行う。また、ある環境下においては、エージェントが非常に特異な振る舞いをとることがわかった。本研究では、エージェントの局所的なルールによって全体の振る舞いをボトムアップで記述するモデルの構築に成功し、情報空間における社会的ジレンマ解消の可能性を示した。

Abstract:

In this study, we concern with a social dilemma of a virtual society. The virtual society is a kind of society in an information space that becomes possible to emerge due to a progress of information technology. In developing the society, it is necessary to include a mechanism to solve the social dilemma in an initial stage of its development. In order to propose a solution for the dilemma, we develop a model of the society. The model may provide us an operationality to deal with the problem. The results of simulation illustrate a possibility to solve the dilemma with respect to a size and complexity of the society. In the virtual society, the resolution of social dilemma may be easier than that in a society that requires a change of personal decision criteria. The operationality of the information space may give the advantage. Among the other findings, the society and its agents in the model reveal interesting behavior under a certain environmental condition. In conclusion, we may successfully develop the model of the society that reveals a collective behavior based on local rules of agents.
